New Canaan Youth Baseball Player Evaluations

Saturday, March 15th

Time Slots for Grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th**

ALL registered players, EXCEPT for those on an 8U through 12U NC Travel baseball team or those who attended the Travel baseball try-outs this past winter, are encouraged to attend according to their respective grade and last name. We divided the registration into smaller groups in an effort to reduce the total evaluation time for all players and parents. Players who are unable to make evaluation sessions (vacation, illness, etc.) are still assured a place on a team for the 2025 season. Please note, there will be no make-up session this year for players unable to attend the evaluations.

The event will be held on Saturday, March 15th, at Bobby Valentine’s Sports Academy (BVSA) located at 4 Largo Drive, Stamford, CT 06907.

All players are expected to bring their own glove, bat and batting helmet. No player equipment will be provided during tryouts. Players will participate in warm-up drills and then rotate through evaluation stations on fielding, throwing, catching, hitting and pitching.

**Players 12 years old as of 4/30/25 only. 13 year-olds are ineligible to play in the Cal Ripken division.
